3.17.08 CDs are here!! First show tonight of a wild string of CD Release shows over the next few weeks. New website will be up and running in the next few days! We look forward to connecting with many of our friends in the next few weeks and meeting some new friends along the way too!!

2.01.08 "Mutual Kumquat," Mutual Kumquat's self-titled 3rd album will be released on March 15th, 2008. The album, which focuses on the group's recent explorations of folk and bluegrass stays true to the group's eclectic sound and passion for spreading positive messages of love, hope, and social justice. The new album features MK regulars Seth Hendricks, Drue Gray, Chris Good, and Justin Peterson, as well as newcomers Jesse Morgan (keyboards), Jacob Jolliff (mandolin), Evan Gutierrez (drums), and Abby Alwin (cello). An extensive tour is being planned: some dates have been announced, more to come...

12.01.07 We're so excited about the project and how things are moving along. We still have some vocals and keyboard work to do, but we should be entering full mixing/mastering mode in the next few weeks. We'll keep you posted as details come and release info is final!!

10.30.07 News from the Studio: tracks sound great so far! We've confirmed that Jesse Morgan, Ypsilanti, MI keyboard player and Community Records founder as well as Jacob Joliff, mandolin virtuoso currently attending Berklee School of Music in Boston, will both be joining us on the album. They'll be joining MK old-timers Justin Peterson (drums), Drue Gray (vocals), Seth Hendricks (guitar/vocals) and Chris Good (bass/guitar/vocals) on the album.

9.30.07 "Baghdad Morning" wins Honorable Mention in Great Lakes Songwriting Contest!! A full list of winners can be found at www.GreatLakesSongs.com. Congrats to Chris for writing such a powerful song and to Drue for an outstanding vocal performance. "Baghdad Morning" can be found on our 2004 release Dream On It or listened to by going to the "Sounds" page on the website.
